        In today's generation, every little thing is achieved by Technology and technology is overcoming every one of us and the day is not so far where we would be completely replaced by technology and we need to keep our identities safe in this digital World.


       So What's our identity is it our user id, mail id, aadhaar id, or Social Security network id what do you think? What will be your identity in this Digital World?

       Just think for a second every identity that I mentioned above is connected to one id that is your phone number if you lose this you loose everything.

       For example, you go to a bank for a banking service and you find inconvenience in your banking and the bank employee asks for your identity to verify whether it's you, but when you are transacting on a digital platform you would be using third party applications like google pay, Paytm, phonepe you register for a UPI id and connect your bank accounts to this UPI id and even if you forget UPI pin you request to reset the pin using forgot password and you get an OTP to your mobile and you enter the OTP and you reset your password but when you lose your sim card and your sim card is fallen into wrong hands your identity is taken by someone else and they can reset the password and withdraw money from your account and you will be left with zero balance in your account.

       Your mobile number is the biggest asset, if you lose this you loose everything and always keep your sim card safe even if you lose immediately block the number and apply for a new one or try an e-sim if you want to know about e-sim click here.
   If your bank account can be hijacked using your mobile number all of your social media accounts can be accessed using this method and your phone number can be sold on the darknet where this can be used by terrorists for illegal activities and you will be responsible for this so always file a complaint when your sim card is lost.
  This may seem like a huge thing for a tiny lost sim card but the consequences coming out of this are very huge and keep this thing in mind when your sim card is lost.
